A brief side by side test of the Vortex Viper PST 5-25, Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25 and Burris RT-25 5-25

All of these scopes are in the affordable price zone for longer range shooting. This is just a simple touch and see test (not a field test) of the three scopes. In each scope I set the diopter to my own eye sight laid all three scopes on a solid platform side by side and zoomed at 10x on the locking mechanism of a door at around 80 yards. I then dialed out parallax and made the notes below.

A new toy heading out to a lucky customer today. The Christensen Arms MPR in 6.5CM is topped off with a Sig Sauer Tango4 6-24 MOA in Warne Maxima rings and propped up with a Magpul MLOK bipod that attaches to the carbon fibre fore-end underneath the carbon fibre barrel.

CZ457 rimfire project. In yesterday’s post we asked traditional or modern for the CZ457. So today this is our take on modern. The CZ features a KRG Bravo stock in FDE colour, a DIP rail giving the needed eye relief for the Arken scope and Magpul M-LOK bipod. Can’t wait to test this combo!

A Noreen ULR 50BMG Single Shot released into the ‘Naki today. I’m not sure what it is about Taranaki and long range shooting but they seem to go hand in hand.
